Capricorn in 2026: your green months and your danger month

Saturn, your ruler, has been in Aries squaring your sign since 13 February, and it turned retrograde at the end of June. This is a structural year rather than a rewarding one — and the working part of it starts next month.

What is left of 2026: September to December

Your window and the remainder of your year are the same thing, which is unusual and worth using. Everything in the section above starts in about a week and runs to the end of November.

Two dates inside it. Venus is retrograde from early October to mid-November and Mercury from around 24 October — so October restructures and does not sign. Then Saturn stations direct in Aries in mid-November, which is where the square stops loosening and starts holding again.

Commit after that station, not before it. A Capricorn who signs in late October spends December renegotiating, and you have already had one year of carrying things twice.

Your green months: September to November

Two things eased at once in the second half. Jupiter left Cancer on 30 June, which ended the opposition to your sign that had been running since mid-2025 — the one that made every arrangement feel like somebody else's terms. And Saturn has been retrograde since late June and stays that way until mid-November, which loosens the square rather than removing it.

September to November is when your own plans start moving at your own pace again. It is not a lucky window. It is a working one, which for you is better.

October is the month to restructure. November is the month to commit, once Saturn turns direct.

Your danger month was June — it has been and gone

June was the floor. Saturn stationed retrograde in late June, in Aries, squaring your sign. Stations are the heaviest points of any transit — the planet stands still, and everything it governs stops with it.

Days later Jupiter finished its opposition and left Cancer on 30 June, and in the same week Mercury turned retrograde. Three separate changes inside one week, all landing on the axis of what you are responsible for and to whom.

June is when a Capricorn most reliably concludes they are failing. You were not failing. Saturn was stationing, and a stationing Saturn always feels like personal inadequacy to the sign it rules. If you reached a verdict about your own competence in June, it was reached under load and it is worth reopening.

The Fire Horse part

2026 is 丙午, yang fire over yang fire, from Lichun on 4 February. Fire either hardens earth or cracks it, and which one it does depends entirely on how the earth is held.

You are the sign most likely to interpret a fast year as evidence of a personal failing. A Fire Horse year moves at a speed your method was not designed for. That is a mismatch of tempo, not a verdict on your competence, and you will need to be told this more than once.

The part you will not enjoy

Saturn squares are not punishments. They are load tests. Something you built is being checked for whether it can carry what you keep putting on it.

The verdict

Do not add anything new before the November station. Reinforce what exists. That is the rest of your year, and it is duller than you wanted and more useful than you expect.

Something you built is being load-tested this year. The chart shows which structure — and whether you have been reinforcing the wrong one.

Questions people actually ask

What does Saturn in Aries mean for Capricorn in 2026?
Saturn, your ruling planet, has squared your sign since 13 February and does so for the rest of the year. It applies pressure to the axis between home and career, and it tests structures rather than destroying them. What survives 2026 will hold for a decade.
Why was June 2026 hard for Capricorn?
Saturn stationed retrograde in late June, Jupiter left Cancer on 30 June, and Mercury turned retrograde in the same week. Three changes at once, all on the axis of duty and responsibility, at the heaviest point of a Saturn transit. It was the low point of the year, not a verdict on you.
Is 2026 a good year for Capricorn?
It is a productive year and not an easy one. Nothing arrives free. Everything built in 2026 is more permanent than usual, which is the trade Saturn always offers and which suits your sign better than most.
